Inventory Module: Update, Retire or Delete Inventory Items

Cut Time allows you to edit your Inventory items list to ensure accuracy and keep the most up-to-date records. You can easily update, retire or remove inventory.

Update or Retire Inventory

  1. Click the Inventory menu.
  2. Scroll down to the item you want to update and click the Update button.
  3. Update the Type from the drop-down list if necessary.
  4. Update the Manufacturer from the drop-down list if necessary.
  5. Update the Location from the drop-down list if necessary.
  6. Update the Model information if necessary.
  7. Update the Model Number field if necessary.
  8. Update the Description field if necessary.
  9. Update the Purchase Date field if necessary.
  10. Update the Purchase Price if necessary.
  11. Add or update the Serial Number if necessary.
  12. Enter a Retirement Date if you are removing an item from inventory. 
    If the item was assigned to a member, be sure it has been returned before you remove it from circulation.
  13. Click the Save button.

Delete Inventory

  1. Click the Inventory menu.
  2. Scroll down to the item you want to remove.
  3. Click the Delete button.
  4. Click the OK button in the pop up box to confirm the deletion.
