Printing Labels
How to Print Labels:
Step By Step Instructions
- Go to either People Module: Print Barcodes Page or the Inventory Module: Print Barcodes Page.
- Select the data group that you want to Print Barcodes for (Ensemble/Group, or an Inventory Page for example).
- Choose Label Format (size of the Labels).
- Click "Confirm selection"
- Sends you to the Print Barcodes page
- Click "Produce labels at Avery" button.
- Sends you to the Avery Label Creation Site
- Make sure that the "Edit All" on the top right hand side is selected.
- Click "Import Data Mail Merge" button on the left hand side.
- Then click "Choose Fields" (or "Replace Spreadsheet" to upload a different set of data to make Barcodes for).
- Un-check the columns you don't want to include on the Label, leaving the fields checked you want to include on the Label.
- When satisfied with content for label, click "Next".
- Click & drag fields in the order you wish to be displayed on the Labels.
- When satisfied with content for Label, click "Next".
- When ready, click "Finish".
- Choose if you would like to Edit All Labels or at a time.
- Click the 3 dots on the left hand side that says "More".
- Click "Qr & Bar codes".
- Click "Add Barcode or QR Code".
- Choose "Spreadsheet or Sequential Number".
- Click "Next".
- Click & drag "Barcode" into the data field for Enter alphanumeric and special characters field
- Click "Finished".
- Move Barcode to where you would like it on the Label.
- *Note: A red warning will appear if the Barcode is too small or is outside the safe area to Print.
- To Edit Label text:
- Click on "Object List".
- Click "Text 1".
- Text editing panel will appear on the left hand side of your screen.
- Examples of things you can Edit:
- Add School Name
- Bold text
- Change Color
- Enlarge/Shrink text
- Etc.
- When ready, click "Preview & Print" button.
- Check all pages of Labels to make sure there are no mistakes, overlapping of text, or issues of placement of Barcode.
- If error is found, click "Customize" button to go back and edit Labels.
- Make corrections to Labels
- When ready, click "Preview & Print" button.
- Double check to make sure labels are all corrected to satisfaction
- Once you are ready to Print click "Print it Yourself" or "Let Avery Print For You" (Paid Service).
