Printing Labels

How to Print Labels:

Step By Step Instructions 

  1. Go to either People Module: Print Barcodes Page or the Inventory Module: Print Barcodes Page.
  2. Select the data group that you want to Print Barcodes for (Ensemble/Group, or an Inventory Page for example).
  3. Choose Label Format (size of the Labels).
  4. Click "Confirm selection"
    • Sends you to the Print Barcodes page
  5. Click "Produce labels at Avery" button.
    • Sends you to the Avery Label Creation Site
  6. Make sure that the "Edit All" on the top right hand side is selected.
  7. Click "Import Data Mail Merge" button on the left hand side.
  8. Then click "Choose Fields" (or "Replace Spreadsheet" to upload a different set of data to make Barcodes for).
  9. Un-check the columns you don't want to include on the Label, leaving the fields checked you want to include on the Label.
  10. When satisfied with content for label, click "Next".
  11. Click & drag fields in the order you wish to be displayed on the Labels.
  12. When satisfied with content for Label, click "Next".
  13. When ready, click "Finish".
  14. Choose if you would like to Edit All Labels or  at a time.
  15. Click the 3 dots on the left hand side that says "More"
  16. Click "Qr & Bar codes".
  17. Click "Add Barcode or QR Code".
  18. Choose "Spreadsheet or Sequential Number".
  19. Click "Next".
  20. Click & drag "Barcode" into the data field for Enter alphanumeric and special characters field
  21. Click "Finished".
  22. Move Barcode to where you would like it on the Label.
    1. *Note: A red warning will appear if the Barcode is too small or is outside the safe area to Print.
  23. To Edit Label text:
    1. Click on "Object List".
    2. Click "Text 1".
    3. Text editing panel will appear on the left hand side of your screen.
      1. Examples of things you can Edit:
        1. Add School Name
        2. Bold text
        3. Change Color
        4. Enlarge/Shrink text
        5. Etc.
  24. When ready, click "Preview & Print" button.
  25. Check all pages of Labels to make sure there are no mistakes, overlapping of text, or issues of placement of Barcode.
    1. If error is found, click "Customize" button to go back and edit Labels.
    2. Make corrections to Labels
    3. When ready, click "Preview & Print" button.
    4. Double check to make sure labels are all corrected to satisfaction
  26. Once you are ready to Print click "Print it Yourself" or "Let Avery Print For You" (Paid Service).
